When I was in my 20s I used to spend a minimum of 30 minutes applying my make-up before I could even face the day! Now, in my 30s I opt for the snooze button! I still want to look fresh faced so with the help of Mary Kay I have been able to perfect my look in half the time! Hallelujah!
Before applying your make-up, prep your skin with your everyday cleansing routine. If you haven't already had a chance to take a look at The Importance of Healthy Skin where I explain how to look after your skin, have a little catch up on the link above.
After cleansing my skin I applied the Mary Kay CC Cream using my fingers. I love this look because it is so fresh but also extremely quick to achieve. I primed my eyes using the Mary Kay Eye Primer, try to avoid using the CC cream on the eye lids. This is because the CC Cream is not a suitable base for eyeshadow.
Next I apply the Mary Kay Perfecting Concealer in Deep Ivory. I like to highlight the high points of my face. Under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, centre of the forehead, cupids bow and the centre of my chin. The fastest and most flawless way to blend this out, is with a damp beauty blender.
Set your base into place with the Mary Kay Translucent Powder and warm the skin with a touch of bronzer. I am completely in love with Mary Kay's Shy blush, I use this every single day! To finish off my skin I use Mary Kay Highlighter just on the tops of my cheek bones.
For the eyes, the Mary Kay True Dimensions Palette in Moroccan Dunes is perfect for creating a range of looks. I opted for a very quick natural eye, starting with the lightest shade I dusted this all over the lid. I then blended the neutral shade through the crease, followed by the taupe shade on the outer corner of the eye. Taking the darkest shade in the palette I smudged it along the top and bottom lash line.
I finished the eyes with two coats of Mary Kay Ulitimate Mascara in black. I always opt for a mascara that will give me volume with minimum effort!
This look would not be complete without a nude lip! I am obsessed with the Mary Kay Semi Gel Matte Lipstick in the shade Bashful You. I outlined my lips first with the Mary Kay Medium Nude lipliner to define my pout!
